Launch Recap

Push the Rock launched on 17 February 2026 as a free Roblox incremental from Studio Stinky. Place ID 139574563597312, universe ID 9745798212, R15 avatars, online servers capped at 18 players. The store tab did not open with a stack of gamepasses — public trackers still list none — and the pitch on the experience page was already the loop people play now: push the rock to the top, slide down for coins, unlock mythical partners, unlock new maps.

This recap is a day-one snapshot, not a marketing blog. If you want the later live set, use the April 2026 snapshot. If you want to play, skip to getting started after you understand what shipped.

Badges existed on day one

Every world badge in the universe carries a created timestamp of 2026-02-17. That includes Welcome and Worlds 2 through 6. The six-hill ladder is not a later season pass. Studio Stinky did not drip World 5 in March as a trailer beat. The badges were in the universe when the place opened.

Win rates since then tell you how the population used that ladder, not how it was patched in:

  • Welcome — 100 percent. A join stamp.
  • World 2 — about 36 percent. The first real gate.
  • World 3 — about 6 percent.
  • World 4 — about 0.4 percent.
  • Worlds 5 and 6 — about 0 percent, hundreds of awards each.

Those rates are player behavior. They are not evidence that World 6 was “locked at launch” and then unlocked. The badge objects were already there. Difficulty did the filtering. Rank that difficulty on worlds ranked and walk it on the worlds walkthrough.

Systems that shipped with the place

The loop. Shove a boulder up a winding hill. When your avatar stalls, auto-push is the intended crutch, not a later quality-of-life patch we are guessing at. After a crest, you slide the slope for coins. The rock can roll back and crush you. That risk is part of the economy: greedy downhill lines die, patient lines print gold. How to play and controls cover the hands. How to farm coins covers the slide.

Partners. Individual board unlocks, with mythical partners advertised as run boosts. There is no audited multiplier sheet from launch day, and this recap will not invent one. Buy-order thinking lives on best partners and the partner tier list. Unlock clicks live on how to get partners. Footage of the live game later showed pop-culture helpers on that board, including a Squid Game mask figure; treat that as a visual that existed in the partner system, not as a launch-day limited we are going to date without a changelog.

Codes UI. A field exists in the HUD. Launch marketing did not hand this wiki a public, independently verified list, and as of September 2026 we still do not have one. That is not the same as “codes never existed as a feature.” It means you should learn how to redeem and ignore lists stolen from Push and Slide.

No known gamepasses. Free to play meant free to play. Progression was coin, partner, and hill gated on day one. Recheck the Roblox store tab after future updates, but do not rewrite launch week as a pay-to-skip event.

Online, not local co-op. Eighteen people share a hill. You can see other boards. You cannot pause the boulder for a couch partner. That is the co-op fact this wiki uses everywhere else; launch day already looked like that.

What launch was not

It was not Push A Rock, the prison-workout simulator. It was not Push and Slide, the other Sisyphus clone with its own codes and temple names. It was not Push Rock for Brainrots, the tycoon that parks meme characters on a plot. Search results mixed those titles immediately, which is why this recap repeats the place ID.

It was not an early-access teaser with two worlds and a promised seventh. Six badges, day one. It was not a console-exclusive or a paid access place. Roblox, free, R15.

How to play the launch build today

You already are, until a newer place update replaces the 13 April 2026 stamp. The loop did not get a genre transplant. Start on World 1, take Welcome for free, buy an early speed or push role, slide, and chase World 2. Use the progress checklist and world tracker so the six-badge ladder that existed at launch stays visible on your end.

If you are reading this because you want “launch codes,” stop. Go to codes and treat anything without a Studio Stinky source as noise. If you are reading this because you want “launch tier lists” from other rock games, stop. Use this wiki’s Tier List Hub.

The useful launch fact is small and stubborn: the game you can play now is the game that opened on 17 February 2026, with six world badges already stamped into the universe. Everything else is a slide you still have to take yourself.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for hill climbs, partners, and world badges.

What day did Push the Rock launch?

17 February 2026. Studio Stinky shipped a free Roblox incremental with 18-player online servers and R15 avatars.

Were all six world badges added later?

No. Welcome and Worlds 2–6 have created timestamps of 2026-02-17. They were in the universe on day one. See worlds ranked.

Did launch include partners and auto-push?

Yes. The experience pitch already covered pushing, sliding for coins, mythical partners, and new maps. Auto-push is part of the shipped control set on controls.

Were there launch gamepasses?

Public trackers list no known gamepasses for this universe. Do not confuse this store tab with another rock game's paid skips.

Were there launch codes?

A codes UI shipped with the HUD. This wiki still has no independently verified public list as of September 2026. Follow codes instead of clone lists.

Is the launch build different from the April 2026 game?

The identity is the same loop. For the later live snapshot — still six worlds, partners, auto-push, codes UI, no known gamepasses — read April 2026.
