Push the Rock The hill loop, start to spend
Push, auto-push, tire out, dodge the boulder, slide for coins, then buy partners and maps.
Push the Rock is one loop with a long tail. You shove a boulder uphill. You can flip in-game auto-push so the climb continues while you watch. Your avatar tires and lets go. The rock can roll back and crush you. You slide or run down the same path collecting coins. You spend those coins on partners and a speed boost, then you unlock later maps. Everything else on this wiki — badges, boards, codes UI — hangs off that cycle.
This page is the loop, not the first-minute spawn checklist. If you have not completed a clean slide yet, start with getting started. If you already understand the shove and keep dying on the way down, stay here, then open how to survive rollback and how to farm coins.
Studio Stinky launched the experience on 17 February 2026 and last updated it on 13 April 2026. It is free, R15, 18 players per server, with no known gamepasses. You are not missing a paid skip that makes the loop optional.
Push until the hold fails
Walk into the boulder and drive it up the lane. Movement is WASD or a thumbstick; jump is space. That is the confirmed set. Auto-push is a HUD button, not a secret key. Details live on controls.
The climb is the setup, not the payday. Height matters because the slide that follows is where coins spawn in useful numbers. Stopping halfway because a friend jumped in front of you still counts as a hold — until your avatar tires. The tire-out is the rule that makes the Sisyphus joke real. You will not push forever on willpower. Plan the exit while the rock is still going up.
Other players can stack on the same boulder. A crowd looks strong and still wipes together when everyone lets go in the same meter of lane. Watch your own avatar’s hold, not the person wearing a louder shirt.
Auto-push is optional, not a different game
The HUD includes an auto-push toggle. Use it. It is part of the shipped experience, not a cheat. It does not remove the tire-out. It does not glue you to the rock after the hold breaks. It only keeps pushing while you are allowed to push.
When auto-push is on, your job shifts from mashing movement into the boulder to watching the slope and the crowd. The moment the hold fails, auto-push will not save you from a rollback. Sidestep or commit to the descent. If you came here from an auto-farm scripts thumbnail, learn this HUD toggle first. The loop is designed around it.
Rollback, crush, and the decision to drop
Gravity owns the boulder the instant your avatar lets go. The rock travels back down the lane you just climbed. If you are still in that lane, you get flattened and the run pays poorly or not at all. That is not a random hazard tile. It is the same object you were proud of a second earlier.
Good drops look boring: you peel off early enough to be beside the path, not under the sphere. Bad drops look brave: you try to restick a descending rock from the front. Do not restick from the front.
Jump (space) is for clearing a lip or recovering a slide, not for body-blocking a granite ball. If you need a camera reset, use standard Roblox camera; this wiki will not invent a unique bind for it.
Slide is the income step
Turn downhill and slide or run. Coins are on the descent. The higher you climbed before the let-go, the more pickup line you usually get — if you survive. A short clean slide beats a heroic crush. Repeatable income is how partners appear, not a single lucky flag screenshot.
Stay off other players’ landing lines when the server is busy. Eighteen people on one hill means eighteen rollbacks. You can play the loop solo; the server is online, not a required co-op puzzle.
Bank coins before you ego-queue another meter of altitude you cannot hold. Spending is the next step of the same loop, not a separate mode you unlock at max level.
Spend, then extend the map
Coins buy partners and boosts. Partners unlock individually on a board. Footage shows pop-culture helpers — a Squid Game mask man is the example players mention — and a speed boost as its own unlock. Read how to get partners before you tap every face. Rankings live on the partner tier list and best partners. Builds that combine a helper with the boost sit on builds.
Maps and worlds are the long tail of the same loop. You are not switching to a boss arena with a named antagonist this wiki can document. You are unlocking the next hill. Badge win rates tell you how steep that request is: Welcome is free, World 2 is the first real gate (around 36%), World 3 is already rare (around 6%), World 4 is around 0.4%, Worlds 5 and 6 sit near zero. The worlds walkthrough uses those rates as difficulty evidence. Track them with the world tracker.
A clean cycle, written as steps
- Confirm you are in Studio Stinky’s Push the Rock, not a similarly named clone.
- Push the boulder up the current world’s lane.
- Flip auto-push when the HUD offers it.
- Watch for the tire-out. Leave the lane before the rock owns it.
- Slide or run down, collecting coins, avoiding other rollbacks.
- Spend on a partner or the speed boost that you can feel on the next shove.
- Repeat until the next world badge is honest, not a thumbnail.
Codes exist as a HUD field. They are not part of the loop until a verified list exists. As of September 2026 this wiki has not independently verified one. See codes and how to redeem. Do not pause a good slide to type a code you found under Push and Slide.
The loop does not change because you watched a short titled “can you finish the hill.” Finishing is the same steps with better timing and better spend. If a patch after 13 April 2026 adds a new HUD toggle, updates should say so. Until then, play the cycle above and stop looking for a hidden combat layer. There isn’t one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for hill climbs, partners, and world badges.
What is the core loop in Push the Rock?
Push the boulder uphill, optionally use auto-push, let go when your avatar tires, dodge the rollback, slide for coins, then spend on partners and boosts. Worlds unlock as the long goal.
Do I have to use auto-push?
No. It is optional. It is also the shipped way to keep a climb going while you watch the slope. It does not stop the tire-out or the crush.
Why do I keep dying after a strong push?
The hold ends. The rock rolls back down your lane. Leave before that happens. Coin farming focuses on that safety window.
Is this a co-op game?
Servers are online with up to 18 players, but the loop is yours. Other avatars share the hill as traffic. You do not need a party to push, slide, or buy a partner.
When should I start unlocking worlds?
After Welcome (automatic) and a partner you can feel. World 2 is the first real gate. Read the worlds walkthrough before treating World 5 as a weekend plan.
Does the loop include codes?
Only as an optional HUD field. There is no verified public list as of September 2026. The loop works without codes.
