Push the Rock Do not eat the boulder you just pushed
The rock rolls back down the same lane. Survival is a sidestep, not a secret weapon.
Most failed sessions in Studio Stinky’s Push the Rock end the same way: the avatar tires, auto-push lets go, and the boulder you were proud of becomes the thing that flattens you. Place 139574563597312 does not hide a secret armor stat. The crush is the same object, on the same lane, under gravity. This page is the how-to-survive version of that moment. If you have not spawned yet, start on getting started. If you want the whole loop, keep how to play open beside this one.
The experience is free, R15, eighteen players per online server. Other people share the hill. Their rocks can crush you too. There are no known gamepasses that buy a no-death pass. Last known place update: 13 April 2026, after a 17 February 2026 launch.
What rollback actually is
You shove the boulder uphill. You can tap auto-push so the climb continues while you watch. Your avatar still tires. When the hold fails, the character lets go. The rock is no longer yours. It travels back down the path you just used. If you are standing in that path, you get crushed and the run pays poorly or not at all.
This is not a random spike trap. It is not a named boss. It is physics on a Sisyphus hill. The official pitch already told you the second half of the loop: slide down at high speed to collect coins. You cannot collect if you are under the sphere.
Treat auto-push as a timer you cannot see. The HUD toggle keeps pushing only while a push is allowed. It does not teleport you to the shoulder when stamina ends. If you came from an auto-farm thumbnail, understand that the shipped farm still requires you to leave the lane.
The safety window
The useful skill is noticing the hold going mushy before the rock owns the lane. Signs you are late:
- You are still centered on the boulder when the avatar’s shove looks weak.
- You try to restick from the front of a descending rock.
- You jump “through” the sphere as if space were a bumper.
- You open the partner board or the codes field while still in the lane.
Jump (space) is for lips and recoveries, not for body-blocking granite. Movement is WASD or a thumbstick. Auto-push and codes live on HUD buttons. Controls will not invent extra binds. If you cannot see the rock, lock landscape on mobile. You cannot dodge what the camera is hiding.
Practice boring exits. Strafe off the lane while the boulder is still going up. Confirm the path with the camera. Then commit downhill. A short clean drop beats a heroic crush every time. Coins live on the farm guide, but the farm only exists if you survive the let-go.
Other players are extra rocks
Servers cap at 18. You each have your own boulder, but you share the slope. A crowd stacked on one rock looks like progress and still wipes together when everyone lets go in the same meter. Watch your avatar, not the loudest shirt.
On the way down, other rollbacks cross your pickup line. Do not chase someone else’s coins through a sphere you cannot see. Eighteen people means eighteen possible crushes. You can complete the loop solo. The server is online traffic, not a required raid.
If a crowd is glued to your rock, take a slightly shorter climb with a cleaner shoulder, or wait one cycle for the lane to breathe. Pride is how first sessions end.
What not to do when the rock is coming
Do not restick from the front. Footage of this place shows that as a wipe, not a tech. Turn, run or slide, collect what you can.
Do not AFK in the lane with auto-push on. Auto-push ends. The rock returns. You are still standing there.
Do not open menus mid-slope. The partner board, the speed-boost purchase, and the codes field do not dodge granite. Buy at the bottom. Codes still have no independently verified public list as of September 2026 — see how to redeem — and they will not save a crush.
Do not treat World 4 as a weekend dodge class. World 2 sits around a 38% badge win rate. World 3 around 8%. World 4 around 0.5%. Worlds 5 and 6 sit near zero. Later hills are longer and greedier. Learn the drop on World 1 first. Track badges on the world tracker and walk maps on the worlds walkthrough. Unlocking the next hill is a different page: how to unlock World 2.
A repeatable survival cycle
- Confirm Studio Stinky and place 139574563597312. Wrong-game gyms have different death rules.
- Push until auto-push is on the HUD. Use it.
- Watch the hold. Leave the lane early on purpose until the timing is boring.
- Slide or run. Collect. Keep moving.
- Spend on a partner or speed boost you can feel — how to get partners — then climb again.
- Tick the progress checklist so a crush does not turn into a lost hour of menu staring.
Partners and boosts change how far a hold goes. They do not delete gravity. A better board makes a bad drop more expensive because the rock has more hill to roll. After every purchase, rehearse the exit once.
When the death is not your rock
Sometimes you did everything right and someone else’s boulder clipped you. That is the 18-player envelope, not a bug this wiki can patch. Strafe wider. Delay a second. Take a quieter line. Do not paste a clone-game script to “auto-dodge.” Public catalogs still list no dedicated tool for this place. Scripts is a warning label, not a skip.
The last known experience update remains 13 April 2026. If a later patch changes how rollback hits, updates and the September 2026 status page should say so. Until then, survive the let-go you already have. The boulder is the tutorial. Standing in its way is the fail state.
Frequently Asked Questions
Quick answers for hill climbs, partners, and world badges.
Why does the rock crush me in Push the Rock?
When your avatar tires, auto-push lets go and the boulder rolls back down the same lane. If you are still in that lane, you get flattened. Leave before the hold fails.
Does auto-push stop the rollback?
No. Auto-push only keeps shoving while a push is allowed. It does not teleport you off the path. See controls and how to play.
Can I restick a descending boulder?
Do not try from the front. Footage shows that as a wipe. Turn downhill and collect coins instead — how to farm coins.
Do other players' rocks crush me too?
Yes. Servers hold 18 people. You have your own boulder, but you share the slope. Treat other rollbacks as extra hazards.
Will a code or gamepass skip death?
There are no known gamepasses. Codes have a HUD field but no independently verified public list as of September 2026. See codes.
Should I learn this on World 3?
No. Learn the drop on World 1. World 3 is already around an 8% badge win rate. Use the worlds walkthrough after survival is boring.
