Push the Rock Best Partners by Stage

First-hour speed, then coins, then late hills. Skip the mascot until the rock already moves.

Best Partners

“Best partner” in Push the Rock is a stage question, not a forever trophy. The helper that saves your first hour on World 1 is the wrong purchase on World 4, and the mythical that looks like a closer on a video thumbnail is a trap if you cannot afford it until next week. This page is the buy-order. Role ranks without a shopping sequence live on the partner tier list. Full loadouts live on partner builds. The click path lives on how to get partners.

We still will not invent multipliers, egg prices, or a fake named roster. Studio Stinky sells individual board unlocks. Mythical partners boost your run. That is the entire official stat story. Everything below is about when a role is the correct click.

First hour — buy speed that you can click today

Your first session should end with Welcome (automatic), a working auto-push habit, at least one full slide, and one partner role that makes the boulder travel farther before you stall. That role is the best partner in the game for you right now, even if it is the plainest model on the board.

Look for early speed or push language. If two candidates cost a starter purse, buy one, run a complete push-and-slide cycle, and only then consider the second. Duplicate jobs before your first real coin loop is how World 1 players go broke with a pretty idle animation. Read getting started and how to play if you still need the loop itself. Controls covers movement and auto-push so you stop treating the HUD as optional.

Do not save the entire first-hour purse for a mythical you can see but cannot buy. Mythical is a boost tag, not a gated tutorial skip. An affordable speed role now beats a locked mythical that you will still be staring at after World 2.

Coin-dump window — spend while the slide is printing

Once you can crest World 1 on purpose, the best partner is the next role that either speeds another crest or makes the downhill safer and richer. This is the dump window: you finally have coins, the board finally has more than one unlocked tile, and the temptation is to click the loudest face.

Priority during the dump:

  1. A second speed or push role only if the first test felt real.
  2. A coin or slide support role if deaths on the rollback are eating your income. The rock can crush you on the way down; a helper that keeps you in the coin line is better than a second pusher you never fund.
  3. Nothing that is clearly a late-world specialist. World 3 is about a 6 percent badge. You are not there yet.

Farming details sit on how to farm coins. If the dump empties you with no faster loop, you bought a mascot. Take the L, slide again, and correct on the next unlock.

World 2 sits near a 36 percent win rate, so this dump window often overlaps that badge. That is intended. World 2 is still a coin factory with a new crest, not a reason to panic-buy endgame roles.

Late-world picks — only after the tracker says so

Best partners on World 3 and beyond are late-world push roles: extra shove on a longer ramp, more time before auto-push feels like a stall, anything the board frames as a later-map boost. Confirm the hill with the world tracker before you spend. Buying a World 5 specialist during a World 2 grind is how a 164-thousand-favorite game still has only hundreds of World 6 badges.

World 4 is about 0.4 percent. Worlds 5 and 6 sit near 0 percent. At that altitude the “best” partner is the one that keeps failed crests from bankrupting you. You will still need slide income between attempts. That is why the late-world push loadout keeps a coin role in the mix instead of filling every slot with identical pushers.

There is no known gamepass that buys these badges. Public trackers listed none through 13 April 2026. Codes will not drop a mythical either — the UI exists, a verified list does not, as of September 2026. See codes.

Costume versus role, including the mask

Gameplay footage of this experience has shown pop-culture helpers, including a Squid Game mask figure. That unit is a useful teaching example because it looks like a featured pickup and might not be one. Ask three questions:

  • Can I afford it in the current stage?
  • Does it read as speed, push, or coin support, or is it a standee?
  • Would I still click it if the model were a gray block?

If the answers are yes, yes, and yes, it can be a best pick for that stage. If you are buying it because a thumbnail used the mask, it is merch. Rank it D until the role proves otherwise, same as the partner tier list already says.

Servers cap at 18 players. You will see loud boards. Copy the role that moves the rock, not the flex that farms likes.

A simple purchase script

New file, empty board:

  • Session 1: one early speed or push role, then only slides until you can repeat a crest without thinking. Follow getting started.
  • Session 2: coin dump into a matching speed role or a slide support role. Stay on World 1–2. Use how to farm coins.
  • Session 3+: open the world tracker. If you are on World 3 or later, start a late-world push buy. If not, keep dumping into the loop.

Wrong-game lists will try to insert Kirby, temple pets, or brainrot plots into that script. Those belong to Push and Slide or Push Rock for Brainrots. Push A Rock is a prison workout. Close those tabs.

When the buy-order is clear, freeze it as a loadout on partner builds. When the hill changes, come back here and pick the next role, not a new personality. The boulder does not care about the mask. It cares whether you shoved it before the rollback.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers for hill climbs, partners, and world badges.

Who is the best starter partner?

Whichever early speed or push unlock you can afford on World 1 after a couple of slides. Costume does not matter. Test one full cycle before buying a second helper. See how to get partners.

Should I skip commons and wait for a mythical?

No. Mythical partners boost runs, but an affordable speed role now is the correct first-hour pick. Save late mythicals for when the world tracker says you left World 2.

Is the Squid Game mask one of the best partners?

Only if it is an early speed or push role you can buy in the current stage. Footage shows that pop-culture helper on the board. Looks are not a rank. Role is.

When do late-world partners become the best pick?

On World 3 and later. World 3's badge win rate is about 6 percent; Worlds 4–6 are far rarer. Until then, speed plus slide income beats a specialist you cannot use.

Where is the full S–F list?

On the partner tier list. This page is the buy-order by stage. Partner builds is how those roles sit together.

Do codes give the best partners?

Not that we can verify. The codes UI exists; no independently checked public list is live as of September 2026. Use how to redeem if you find a string on an official Studio Stinky post.
